It kinda makes me question who listens to more music. This guy, or his son.
Either that or he thinks that the Wiggles are the dopest shit since Bob the Builder going number one.

Greek Pt.1

I have a new player, introducing Becky to DnD via the redbox. Although what follows is a custom made quest for people of the single player Roguey persuasion.

Greek, a Halfling with an Asian appearance sat in the Blue Moon Ale house in Fallcrest. She sips idly at her Pint, enjoying the company around her.
Over the laughter of patrons a plaintive cry rings out. It comes closer and closer to the Ale house, and finally words are made out. “My husband! My husband!”
Greek and a few others get up, curious to see what’s happening. They go outside and see a gaunt woman bent over in front of the Ale house, breathing hard and crying all over the place.
One of the patrons walk up to her, “What is it Ann Sprocket? What’s wrong?”
“My husband… He’s.. in the lower fields.. Coming towards us.. I saw him..”
She starts to cry.

Random tavern Goer: “Did wolves dig him up? Move him?”

“No! He’s walking! You don’t understand! He’s dead!”

Greek, her interest suddenly piqued, strolls up to the woman and asks her a few questions. She dwells to long on how Mrs. Sprockets husband died, setting the distraught woman off again.
She decides, along with a few other patrons, to check out the farm and see what’s up.

As she approach the farmstead Greek sees a person scrabbling in a nearby garden. As she gets closer she catches a whiff of a putrid smell, a man, almost completely bald apart from a few patches, is completely naked. He claws at the ground with his bare hands. She realizes that it’s not a garden he’s digging, but his own grave he’s trying to crawl back into.
A few of the people vomit and one crys out “It’s probably that God forsaken Figgens again. That man and his boy are possessed by the devil!”

With a few directions Greek sets off to find a Healer, who may know how to dispel the corpse. The rest of the villagers stay to make sure the late Mr. Sprocket doesn’t wander off.

2011 Celebration Cape

During minecraft multi we realized our capes went and changed. It only lasted the day though. Oh well. I didn't particularly care for the capes much to be honest.

Rare Obsidian Portal

This portal was found floating above an ocean about 5 minutes walk from my spawn. It never used to be there. It looked like an odd upside down T when I saw it from a distance. I went to check it out. Cool huh?
I've gone through it. And it takes me to the Nether. Strangely it makes me appear at my own gate that I created earlier. Going back through the portal again sends me to the other end of my gate, safe at home. Meaning I now have a quick way from going from the middle of the ocean back to the safety of my base.
I originally thought it was the secret beta update. Turns out its just another rare thing that I stumbled over. Dang. Oh well. I feel like an idiot. Cheers for smoothing that out before I looked like an idiot on the internet Matt.

Common Mistakes made in Minecraft

Over the last month or so I have been having a lot of fun playing Minecraft. This fun has been shown to friends and thus been passed on. Addicting everyone along the way. It's spreading like AIDs.
But over the course of my play I have also been keeping an eye on the community. And while most of them are pretty cool, there are of course, the noobs, the jerks, and the downright stupid. I wonder if they are the same set of noobs from every other game... anyway here we go with a list of things that need to be sorted out for this world to be a better place.

Reviewers: Don't review this fucking game. Not because it isn't good. But because its premature. It isn't finished. It's only just coming out of alpha in a few days time. Although this is only a mild complaint, because its been through these reviews that I was able to hear about it and start playing. But I can feel it in my elbow that there's a pile of people out there trying to make a petition to get Yahtzee to review it.

Players: Don't bitch about things not working, or something being broken. Your playing in a construction site where there are a lot of sharp brutal corners. It's going to be a while before things are smoothed out. Until then just report the problem like a civil human being so Notch can deal with it when he's good and ready.

Downtime: If your complaining about a new update breaking everything stfu. Come back in an hour, go have a wank, go outside perhaps. Eat maybe.

Ok I forgot the rest of what I was gonna say. I really just needed to get some steam off.

Red Box Pt.1 & 2

I recently got the Dungeons and Dragons Red Box. I will be scribing the adventures that precede. Or whatever. Here it is so far.

Pt.1

Puddle, the wizard in training and Flange, the rouge kleptomaniac made their way from the Tavern to the lair with little incident. This was to be their first serious mission, and it was treated as such. They charged in, slaying two goblins, before realizing they would probably be ingested by the goblins pet drake if they didn't GTFO as soon as possible.
They came back two days later, a little wiser and a little wearier. Killing the drake and putting an end to the remaining goblins gobbliness. Unfortunatly the labyrinth continued further in, and a glimpse through a magical pool of water revealed a greater danger inside. "Perhaps we need someone to help us out, we're gonna get stomped if we don't." Flange pointed out. "Perhaps we need your MUM." said Puddle as he conjured a laughing live studio audience.

Pt.2

On the fourth day of raiding, Puddle and Flange met a tall slim Elf, who when asked replied that her name was Sushi (maybe with a hint of hostility).
As they made acquaintances with each other a pale, lank haired man strode into the Tavern. He stood at the door and with a rasped voice exclaimed “If you go back to the cave, you will take the place of those that you felled.”
Puddle and Sushi looked at him oddly. “Is that it?” “Uh.. Yes.. I think so.. Don’t come back.” They looked at the man disapprovingly until it got awkward and he left.

As they made their way from the tavern township towards the cave they could hear wolves howling in the distance. When they reached the crossroads two wolves emerged behind them, unable to hide in the tree lines any longer. Their snarling and howling attracted two goblin scouts who had been patrolling the area. The two wolves circled and attacked Sushi and Flange.
Puddle created sounds behind the Goblins to distract and confuse them until The more physical fighters could dispatch the wolves.

When they reached the cave they headed into the second entrance (For a change of scenery). They pushed Sushi to the front as they walked in. Around them they could see Kobolds nervously watching them, with their spears at the read.
Puddle Began to talk to one of the Kobolds. He found out they had a “master” of sorts. And when led to a second chamber the party came face to face with a young white dragon.
Puddle realized that he had seen this dragon in the pool of water earlier.
The Dragon spoke in stilted common to them, and soon the party found out that the Dragon despised Malareth, the dark magician, who had invaded part of his lair.
Two Kobolds were ordered to go with the party as they headed further in to face off with Malareth.

They burst through the door to scare the shit out of a Goblin, who ran away and called for “Kurrash”. Kurrash a tall, matted bugbear, came pushing through the door.
Him and his pals totally got whipped. But not before killing the two Kobolds.

With this done the party decided that was enough for the day, and headed home. No need to rush things.
