Portal & narbacular drop

I shoulda done a blog about this one sooner. Ok, If you havent played portal yet(Because You have a dumb PS3 that waits at least 3 or so months before releasing anything+ being that little bit more expensive), or your not hyped about playing it, then you obviously dont know what your missing out on. If your not into mind bending puzzle games this may not be for you. But hey, it comes with the orange box pack, so you still get the shoot em ups of half life 2 right?
Its an awesome game, Unfortunatly you can play the entire game in one sitting, being about a three hour game at most. Fortunatly there is challenge modes to make the game more... challenging -_-.
I have to admit, the game is addictive, and fun to mess around with. GlaDos keeps the game interesting and also adds humour to the game play, as well as some form of story line.
Look out for cracks in the walls and black hand prints for some easter eggs. This game deserves a 5/5, its original and entertaining. I wonder if the PC version will release map making packs?
If you want an idea of how the game works, or you wanna see how the game originally started out (as a little freeware game made by some students) then check out www.nuclearmonkeysoftware.com and download Narbacular Drop. Its so crap, but you can see so much potential in it that was fulfilled by valve. Ok, Im not even gonna bother trying to explain how the portals work, look up some Vids on youtube or something. On a final note, if you still crave portal, try out the flash version. http://portal.wecreatestuff.com/
